尿促卵泡素（FSH）是一種來(lái)源于人類(lèi)和其他動(dòng)物的激素。是由垂體前葉的促性腺細(xì)胞合成和分泌的。FSH調(diào)節(jié)人體的的發(fā)展，生長(zhǎng)，青春期發(fā)育和生殖的過(guò)程。FSH刺激男性和女性生殖細(xì)胞的成熟。FSH誘導(dǎo)男性睪丸支持細(xì)胞分泌抑制素，并促使睪丸支持細(xì)胞之間緊密結(jié)合。FSH促進(jìn)女性卵泡的生長(zhǎng)，尤其影響顆粒細(xì)胞。隨著抑制素B的增加，F(xiàn)SH水平在晚卵泡期下降。只選擇最*先*進(jìn)的卵泡進(jìn)行排卵是關(guān)鍵的。在黃體期結(jié)束時(shí)，F(xiàn)SH有輕微的上升，這似乎對(duì)開(kāi)始下一個(gè)排卵周期很重要。

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a hormone found in humans and other animals. It is synthesized and secreted by gonadotrophs of the anterior pituitary gland. FSH regulates the development, growth, pubertal maturation, and reproductive processes of the body.
In both males and females, FSH stimulates the maturation of germ cells. In males, FSH induces Sertoli cells to secrete inhibin and stimulates the formation of sertoli-sertoli tight junctions. In females, FSH initiates follicular growth, specifically affecting granulosa cells. With the concomitant rise in inhibin B, FSH levels then decline in the late follicular phase. This seems to be critical in selecting only the most advanced follicle to proceed to ovulation. At the end of the luteal phase, there is a slight rise in FSH that seems to be of importance to start the next ovulatory cycle.
